Pain is only a signal…a signal that must be processed and interpreted in the brain …before it can be realised as physical discomfort.
Pain is an awareness … created by the brain.. in order to make you conscious of that physical discomfort.
Once pain is experienced… so too is a memory connection made associated with that experience.
Just a signal from the mind-body to yourself telling you to be aware…that something is happening physically.
Because of this.. hypnosis is perfectly suited to help you break that memory pattern and learn to ignore the signal or learn to reinterpret it as something else instead.
When people are absorbed in an activity involving pleasure or comfort the discomfort of pain can vanish from consciousness…
